DiGi is the second telco (after Maxis) in Malaysia that revealed their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus plans’ details at about 1.30am morning and accept the pre-order almost simultaneously. However, currently DiGi website is quite slow since the announcement of beginning to accept pre-order.
Official sales will begin from 12.01am 6th November in Malaysia. Being one of the top 3 major telcos in Malaysia, how DiGi is going to attract new customer to consider and place order on their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus while competing with Maxis and Celcom (Celcom still yet to reveal their plan)?

In DiGi iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus plan offer, I dislike the most is why DiGi restrict my mobile data into internet surfing and apps usage? Apps usage is restrict to iTunes, FaceTime, iMessage, Facebook and Twitter only! If you want to surf at normal speed once you’ve used up all your mobile data, upgrade or Opera Mini.
From my past experience with DiGi, although it said no throttle speed with Opera Mini, but it still very slow, but slightly faster than Safari. 3 GB apps data is extremely unlike to be finished for majority of the consumer in Malaysia, based on a report published in The Star, estimated average data usage in 2018 is 2GB. Therefore, DiGi is not my first choice for iPhone 6, what about you?
*update – after rang to DiGi customer specialist, we confirmed that all iDiGi bundle call and sms only DiGi to DiGi.
* Update – Another 5 times rang DiGi helpline in 5 different times, finally confirmed that our first published information were accurate, only iDiGi 50 the free 200 SMS is DiGi to DiGi, the rest all others are to all networks. Last call to DiGi helpline was answered by Jivee, and she confirmed that. Meanwhile the first DiGi guy was giving wrong and totally misleading answer.
** Thanks to ysc & hsyong from lowyat forum for pointing out the confusing part and hope now it’s more clear and understandable. 🙂
